The quote and BOM builder turns a design into a priced bill of materials, then an A4 quotation with labour, transport, overhead, discount, VAT, gross profit and margin. Export the finished document as a PDF.

How the Quote & BOM Builder works

  1. Build the bill of materials

Add or import line items with quantity, unit and unit price. Importing from the System Sizer pre-fills the main equipment.

  2. Add job costs

Enter markup, labour and transport. Overhead belongs in markup; labour and transport are added separately so the margin stays visible.

  3. Check margin before sending

VAT is calculated on the discounted subtotal. Gross profit subtracts VAT and job costs, so a high markup can still leave a thin margin.

Worked example

5 kW hybrid system quotation

₦2,314,000 of equipment, 10% markup, ₦80,000 labour, ₦30,000 transport and 7.5% VAT.

  • ₦2,655,400 subtotal
  • ₦199,155 VAT
  • ₦2,854,555 total
  • About 8.1% margin

Assumptions and limits

  • Prices are whatever you enter. The tool does not fetch live Mishka stock prices.
  • VAT defaults to 7.5% but is editable, and the rate you choose is the rate printed.
  • PDF output uses the browser print dialog, so choose Save as PDF rather than a printer.
